This is an old revision of the document!
Transcend
Hacked Transcend WiFi SD Card is used to publish photos taken on our local DSLR to a HTTP-accessible gallery.
Photos are gathered from the camera with a simple oneliner:
# yes, we have a f*king SD card in local DNS zone while true; do ping -n -c 1 transcend.waw.hackerspace.pl>/dev/null && lftp -e "mirror DCIM/ /storage/media/transcend; quit" transcend.waw.hackerspace.pl; sleep 5; done
HOWTO (SSH & FTP)
- Unpack the card, insert it into the bundled reader, plug into a computer
- Mount the card's filesystem
- Unpack transcend.tar.bz2, move contents of the transcend/ directory into the card's root directory
- Sync and unmount the filesystem
- Connect to the WIFISD wireless network (default password “12345678”)
- Open http://192.168.11.254 and log in as admin:admin
- Navigate to “Settings”, switch default mode to “Internet”, enter the HS WiFi network's SSID and password, turn off power saving, adjust other settings if needed, confirm new settings
- Unplug the card, insert into camera

- PROFIT
