MYiR Z-Turn Zynq Board Hackers
A Chinese company called MYiR has recently released a very cheap Xilinx Zynq 7010 based board called ZTurn. A few hackers from the Warsaw Hackerspace decided to acquire them and start working on some fun projects. This page outlines what efforts have been made thus far, and what are the plans for the future.
Board Info
It's about $110 shipped to the EU. Apart from the specs from the manufacturers site, there are a few things to note:
- It ships with a 4GB SD card, with Ubuntu 12.04.
- It ships with a CD with surprisingly high-quality docs and sources. However, they all rely on already modified sources from MYiR - whereas we'd rather make these modification ourselves.
- The board gets quite warm! Especially when running a `j $pc` in a bare-metal app on the ARM processors…
