Prusa Core One L

signal-2026-03-10-205130_003.jpeg

Class Tool
Function 3d printer
Model Prusa Core One L
Owner ari
Hostname/web interface http://yamata-no-orochi.waw.hackerspace.pl/
Currently installed hotend+nozzle hardened 0.4mm

Hostname choice is a reference to Yamata no Orochi, mostly becaue of the planned INDX upgrade.

Usage

The printer's left at the hackerspace for the general use by hackerspace members. Feel free to use, but:

  • if there's any problem with it, contact ari, preferably highlighting on #druk3d matrix channel.
  • there's a printer manual in the accessories box. feel free to consult it if something's unclear.
  • printer has automatically operated vent holes on top. no need to keep the door open when printing with low-temperature filaments
  • leave the pendrive inserted in the printer front panel. it's unhappy without it and needs it to store gcode.
  • the printer has its own camera. it locally exposes an rtsp stream at rtsp://10.8.1.105/live and is mounted in the top front left corner of the printer but it's otherwise not integrated.

Loading filament

Filament is loaded from the right side, through the short PTFE tube.

Printer profiles

Since it's a Prusa printer, the most well-polished profiles will be present in Prusa Slicer.

Next release of Orca Slicer, whenever that happens, Should™ have them as well (they're merged in git).

Network connectivity

Printer is connected to the network using an ethernet cable in the back.

Verify password in settings on the printer itself if in doubt. Avoid clicking “generate”, as this will break settings for other users.

Add the printer as a “physical printer”, and set the following values:

Host Type PrusaLink
Hostname, IP or URL 10.8.1.104
Authorization Type API key
API Key / Password xdskHFCQVoCXebH

"improvements"/mods

Generally, don't.

  • installed the official “advanced filtration” module
  • planning to install a Bondtech INDX system on it when that becomes available
  • door on the side protecting filament spool from hackerdust
